Southeast Georgia Soap Box Derby Queens Ready to Meet Public

The Southeast Georgia Soap Box Derby Pageant Queens are excited to meet the public during the event’s festivities this weekend, May 2-3.
The annual pageant was held on February 15, as 76 contestants vied for the chance to represent Lyons and the Southeast Georgia Soap Box Derby. Several division placements were announced, but ultimately, it was 10 girls who earned the right to be called Miss Southeast Georgia Soap Box Derby Queens.
These girls invite everyone to attend the Derby this weekend, and to meet them and say “hello!” The event will kick off with the Super Kids Race – a race where soap box derby drivers and individuals with special needs team together to roll down the hill in style – on Friday morning, May 2. The annual Run What You Brung Race to follow on Friday afternoon, May 2. The official Southeast Georgia Soap Box Derby will kick off on Saturday morning, May 3.
