The Lorax to Visit Lyons

Lyons City Hall will have a special visitor for a Story Time event at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 14, as The Lorax visits the location to read to children.

The Lorax – an orange character created by Dr. Seuss and devoted to protecting trees – will be portrayed by The Advance News Editor Makaylee Randolph, as she works to help remind kids that reading and literacy can be a fun activity. Randolph will visit with attendees and read The Lorax by Dr. Seuss during the event. Other characters, such as The Cat in the Hat or Horton from

Horton Hears a Who, may even be available for a meet and greet before and after the event.
