The Toombs County Grand Jury reconvened on Monday, June 29, and indicted 8 individuals on various charges, such as trafficking in methamphetamine, theft, burglary, and more. Jabari Tyrek Beasley was indicted on two counts of trafficking in methamphetamine; two counts of sale of methamphetamine; two counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon; and one count of possession of fentanyl.

Beasley allegedly committed these crimes between May 22, 2024, and July 5, 2024. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation Southeastern Regional Drug Enforcement Office oversaw the investigation of this case, and found that Beasley had sold more than 28 grams of methamphetamine on two different occasions, and continued to sell the substance for weeks after. He was also in possession of less than one gram of Fentanyl solid substance. viously been convicted of a felony in Montgomery County.

Beasley will now enter a formal plea of guilty or not guilty to the court to determine his next steps in the judicial process.

Theft by Receiving Stolen Property Domarion Jamar Jones was indicted on one count each of fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer; theft by receiving stolen property; obstruction of an officer; and reckless driving.

On January 17, 2025, Jones was allegedly driving a Subaru Crosstrek, which he knew was stolen, and refused to stop when a Toombs County Deputy attempted to pull him over. Instead, Jones drove recklessly – even running the red light at the intersection of U.S. Highway 280 and South Victory Drive in Lyons and using the turning lane to pass other vehicles along the road – in attempt to outrun the Deputy. After stopping his vehicle, Jones then fled the Deputy on foot before being captured.

Jones will now enter a plea to the court to determine whether he goes to trial or a sentencing hearing.

Burglary in the Second Degree Henry Edward Tolbert was indicted on a single count of burglary in the second degree, as he is accused of trying to steal from a local business.

Tolbert allegedly broke into Elite Comfort Solutions’ trailer, located at 205 N. Broadfoot Boulevard in Vidalia, with intent to steal from the structure.

Tolbert will now enter a formal plea of guilty or not guilty to the court to determine his next steps in the judicial process.

Possession of Illegal Weapons Cody Alamia was indicted on six counts of possession of a firearm by a first offender probationer and a single count of possession of illegal weapons.

On January 14, 2025, the Lyons Police Department discovered Alamia was in possession of six firearms – a Sipahi shotgun, Escort shotgun, Diamondback rifle, Taurus handgun, Winchester shotgun, and Sig Sauer handgun – and a sawed off shotgun, which had a barrel that was less than 18 inches long. Alamia was not authorized to have any gun in his possession, as he was on probation for an aggravated assault that he was found guilty of in 2022.

Alamia will now enter a plea to the court to determine whether he goes to trial or a sentencing hearing.

Aggravated Assault

Anthony Dewayne Williams Jr. was indicted on a single count of aggravated assault for a crime which he allegedly committed in March.

According to the Vidalia Police, Williams assaulted another person by throwing bleach into their eyes on March 7, 2026.

Williams will now enter a formal plea of guilty or not guilty to the court to determine his next steps in the judicial process.

Other Indictments

Other individuals indicted by the Grand Jury

were: Kellmer Gerome Martin – rape; aggravated sodomy; incest (two counts) Brittany Lori Murray – cruelty to children in the second degree Jerome Charles Harvey – fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer These individuals will now enter a formal plea of guilty or not guilty to the court to determine his next steps in the judicial process.
