Memorial Health Meadows Hospital Auxiliary Awards Scholarships


The Memorial Health Meadows Hospital (MHMH) Auxiliary met on May 4, 2026, for its annual end-of-year banquet and awards ceremony. Scholarships were awarded to five outstanding local students who are pursuing degrees in the medical field. These recipients included Trinity Wideman, Montgomery County High School; Anna Nalley, Vidalia Heritage Academy; Takyla Wadley, Treutlen County High School; Sadie Berry, Vidalia Comprehensive High School; and Mareli Luna-Munoz, Toombs County High School.
Also at this meeting, MHMH Auxilians were awarded pins for cumulative hours of service to the hospital through 2025. Ten members were awarded service pins for volunteering hours ranging from 100 to over 6,000 . Most notable was Shelby Palmer, a long-time, faithful member of MHMH Auxiliary, who has provided service since 1998. In 2025, the auxilians volunteered a total of 96,414 hours at the hospital which, at minimum wage, equals $699,001.
