Free Meals for Treutlen Kids

Treutlen County Schools is ensuring that no students go hungry this summer while on break from school, as the district is providing free summer meals for five weeks.

The Treutlen County Schools Food Nutrition Program is distributing free summer meals for children ages 1-18 at four different locations throughout five weeks this summer. These meals will include breakfast and lunch each day, and enough meals for continued from page

three days will be provided on Thursdays.

These meals will be available on Tuesdays through Thursdays on June 2-4, June 9-11, June 16-18, June 23-25, and July 7-9. Pick-up locations and times are: Iva Park, located between West Main Street and Georgia Avenue in Soperton, from 10:30 a.m. until 10:45 a.m.

Soperton Housing Authority, located at 7414 Eastman Road in Soperton, from 10:50 a.m. until 11:05 a.m.

Fowler Street Gym in Soperton from 11:10 a.m. until 11:25 a.m.

Creekwood Apartments, located at 1049 Arch Street in Soperton, from 11:30 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.

Meals must be picked up at the drop-off locations and cannot be delivered. Only one meal provision will be given per child. For more information, call (912) 529-7101.
