Indians Golfers Secure Top-10 Finishes

The Vidalia Boys and Girls golf teams teed off at Arrowhead Pointe Golf Course last Monday and Tuesday in Elberton, capping off their seasons with solid showings at the GHSA State Golf Tournament.

Boys

The boys team battled through the two-day event to claim seventh place out of a 12-team field. Austin Mosley anchored the Indians' lineup, stringing together rounds of 75 and 77 for a 152 total. That steady performance earned Mosley a third-place individual finish against a packed field of 79 competitors. Tucker Reynolds also found his rhythm, bouncing back from an opening-round 83 with a strong 79 on Tuesday. His 162 total was good for 15th overall.

Girls

The girls team held their own against tough competition, securing an eighth-place team finish. Skylar Fountain led the way for Vidalia, putting together rounds of 84 and 87. Her 171 two-day total earned her a hardfought fourth-place individual finish among the 44 golfers competing for the state title.
