Toombs County citizens will now be able to electronically request court and real estate records from the Clerk of Superior Court’s Office at any time on any day, as Toombs County Clerk of Superior Court Nancy Pittman has announced the introduction of eCertification to the county.

According to Pittman, a trip to the Toombs County Courthouse will no longer be required to get certified paper copies of documents, as the public now has this access through a new online service on the Clerk’s website. eCertification is a software used by the Clerk’s office to generate tamperproof and self-validated certified copies of these records and recordings. Customers can purchase electronically certified records from the convenience of their home, smart phone, or anywhere else they may have internet access, and upon processing by the Clerk’s office, they will receive the documents as secured PDFs through email.

To request an eCertified copy, visit https:// ecert.gsccca.org and follow the prompts to create an account. Once the account is created, log in, and click “Submit a New Request” at the top right corner of the page. Then, select the county where the record is located and the document type before clicking “Continue to Submit the Request.” Complete all required fields, then click “Submit Request.”

The Clerk’s office will then process the request and payment authorization will be required. The request status will show “Awaiting Payment Final Authorization,” when the final payment is needed – this may be completed by clicking the status and following the prompts. Once payment is received and finalized by the Clerk’s office, a final email will be sent containing an authentication link, which includes the purchased eCertified copy of the requested document.

The purchased eCertified copies of documents may be downloaded and stored for future use, which allows customers to maintain their own documents for multiple uses and printing.

For more information on the service, please contact Pittman at (912) 5263501.
