UGA Extension to Hold Production Meetings for Toombs, Montgomery, and Treutlen Counties

The Toombs, Montgomery, and Treutlen County UGA Extension offices will hold annual production meetings beginning in February. Growers attending these meetings will receive up-to-date, unbiased research and information from University of Georgia specialists in each topic area.

The meetings will kick off with the Pecan Production meeting at 12 p.m. on Thursday, February 8, and will be led by Dr. Lenny Wells and Area Agent Andrew Sawyer. Next, the Precision Ag & Irrigation production meeting will be held at 12 p.m. on Friday, February 16, and will feature information from Dr. Wes Porter and Dr. Simer Virk. Dr. Scott Montfort and Dr. Eric Prostko will present at the Peanut Production meeting at 12 p.m. on Friday, February 23, and the Cotton Production meeting, hosted by Dr. Camp Hand and Dr. Philip Roberts, will be held at 8 a.m. on Friday, March 1. The series will end with Row Crop Disease meeting, led by Dr. Bob Kemerait, at 12 p.m. on Friday, March 8. Pesticide credits are available for attendance. These meetings will be held at the Toombs County Extension Office, located at 300 Bulldog Road in Lyons.
