BPC Wrestlers Are All-Americans

Brewton-Parker College men’s wrestling student- athletes, Dennis Mc-Neal and Lucas DeSilva closed out day two action at the 65th Annual NAIA Men’s Wrestling National Championship in Wichita, Kansas on Saturday. Both McNeal and DeSilva earned All-American honors on Saturday to give BPC 17.5 team points and 22nd in the team standings. McNeal led with a seventh- place finish at 125lbs. with a 4-2 overall record for the weekend. He closed out his tournament run with a 1-1 record on the day. He fell to No. 12-seeded Koby Milner from Reinhardt (Ga.) with a 6-2 decision before securing seventh with a forfeit win over No. 9-seeded Carter Cox from Cumberland (Tenn.).

DeSilva earned All-American honors with an eighth-place finish at 184lbs. On Saturday, he lost by medical forfeits in the consolation round as well as the seventh-place match.
