James “Ronnie” Williamson, age 75, of Vidalia, Georgia, passed away Friday, October 29, 2021. He was born April 3, 1946, to Ben D. Williamson and Katherine Allmond in Vidalia, Georgia. He graduated from Vidalia High School and attended Middle Georgia College. He served as an Airman in the United States Air Force from 1966 to 1969 and was deployed during the Vietnam War to Goose Bay, Labrador. From 1969 to 1996, he served as a Radioman First Class in the United States Naval Reserve. He was a member of the Tabernacle Baptist Church in Vidalia. He retired from AT& T, where he was employed as a Regional Manager, after 53 years of service. He loved to work on the family farm and visit with his children and grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his brother, Ray Matthew.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Joyce Easterling Williamson; his children, Brian Keith Williamson and Wendy Williamson-Coyne; Patricia Willis; son-in-law, Jake Coyne; his grandchildren, Savannah, Hailey, and Aubrey; and his brothers, Roy Allen and Ben Donald.

The funeral will be held on Wednesday, November 3, in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home. Visitation is at 10:00 a.m. and service at 11:00 a.m. The burial will follow, with full United States Military honors, at the Williamson Family Cemetery in Kibbee.

Pallbearers will be Monty Williamson, Mitch Williamson, John Williamson, Glenn Williamson, Kerry Harrison, and Jackson.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Rapha Center International, Inc., in memory of James Ronnie Williamson, 2625 Old Kibbee Road, N. Soperton, GA 30457.
