Mrs. Ann Beckum

Mrs. Ann Phillips Beckum, age 67, of Oak Park, died on Thursday, July 1, 2021, at the Community Hospice House in Vidalia after an extended illness.

Mrs. Beckum was a native of Emanuel County and lived near Oak Park all her life. She retired from Oxford Industries after more than 35 years. She was a former member of Vidalia Advent Christian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbur Lucion Beckum; her parents, Clyde Jerome Phillips and Jerolene Hutcheson Phillips; and 1 brother, Charlie Phillips.

Survivors include 2 children, Michele Johnson and husband Robin of Lyons, and Robert Beckum and wife Kim of Oak Park; 4 siblings, Judy Mosley and husband Clyde, Cathy Messex and husband Thomas, and Max Phillips, all of Oak Park, and Jenny Barwick and husband James of Vidalia; 1 sisterin- law, Tyanne Phillips of Lyons; 4 grandchildren, Kaleb Johnson of Lyons, Miranda Murray and husband Jordan of Statesboro, Tyler Beckum and wife Rebecca, and Bailey Beckum, all of Oak Park; 3 greatgrandchildren, Anzley, Cuyler and Avery; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service was held on Saturday, July 3, 2021, at 11:00 a.m., in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home, with Pastor Robert Beckum officiating. Burial followed at the Phillips Family Cemetery near Oak Park.

Pallbearers were Tony Diskuke, Donnie Hadden, Jordan Murray, Tyler Beckum, Kaleb Johnson, and Benji Kilgore.
