Mr. Kendall McBride

Mr. Kendall “K-Dawg” McBride, age 60, of the Bear Creek Community of Mt. Vernon, died on Saturday, June 5, 2021.

Mr. McBride was a lifelong resident of Mt. Vernon and was a 1978 graduate of Montgomery County High School. He worked as an over the road commercial truck driver for over 20 years based in Glenwood. He was known on the CB airwaves as “Snakeman.” In the mid 1990s he founded M& M Electrical in Mt. Vernon, which he continued to operate until retirement.

Survivors include 2 daughters, Dawn McBride Harp (Chuck), Cleveland, TN, and Devin McBride, Old Fort, TN; his parents, Gene and Carlene Mc-Bride, Mt. Vernon; 1 sister, Judy Waller, Vidalia; grandchildren, Haley Lay (Stratos), Jayden Harp, Kalei McBride – Baine, Hanna Pennick, Aaron Pennick, Bryleah Pennick; 1 greatgranddaughter, Nova Lay; 1 niece, Brooke Waller; and special friends, Jason and Stacie Randolph, Vidalia.

Funeral services were conducted on Tuesday, June 8, 2021, at 11:00 a.m., in the Williams Chapel of Sammons Funeral Home, with Rev. Brian Patrick officiating. Interment followed in Mt. Vernon Cemetery.

Sammons Funeral Home in Soperton was in charge of arrangements.
