Mr. Charlie Campbell

Mr. Charlie David Campbell, age 78, of Vidalia, died on Monday, August 3, 2020, in Tattnall Healthcare Center in Reidsville after an extended illness. Mr. Campbell was born in Gadsden, AL, and grew up in Nashville, GA. He lived in Tennessee most of his life before moving to Vidalia in 2008. He was a self-employed handy man, carpenter and mechanic. He was Baptist by faith, and was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie Lawson Campbell and Viola Findley Campbell.

Survivors include 3 sisters, Ann Richardson, Vidalia, and Gail Reed and Nell Ervin, both of Valdosta; 3 brothers, Bill Campbell and wife Mary Jo, Adel, Jimmy Campbell and wife Carol, Swansboro, NC, and Edward Campbell, Adel; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside funeral service was held on Friday, August 7, 2020, at 11:00 a.m., in the Center United Methodist Church Cemetery, with Steve Richardson officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Vidalia Baptist Temple, P.O. Box 932, Vidalia, GA 30475.
