Keeping Communities Connected

Beginning in 2020, during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, the need for access to reliable broadband service became more evident than ever. In an effort to keep everyone connected, Pineland Telephone launched free Wi-Fi service at thirty-two of its office locations, available to all members of the public.

Although there has been a general return to pre-COVID practices, the need for broadband access remains. Connecting for work, completing schoolwork, communicating on a telehealth visit, or staying in touch with family and friends, requires broadband. Because of this, Pineland continues to broadcast it’s free Wi-Fi service. If you need to connect, simply pull up to one of our locations listed below, and select the network “Connect2PinelandFREE”.

In addition to our office locations, Pineland broadcasts Wi-Fi in three community parks — Metter, Louisville, and Swainsboro. At these locations look for the network “Pineland In The Park.”

As part of the State of Georgia’s Broadband Program, you can also find a list of free public Wi-Fi access points located throughout the state by visiting https://broadband. georgia.gov/free-publicwifi.
