Mr. Mitchell Kight, age 69, ….

Mr. Mitchell Kight, age 69, of Reidsville, died on Monday, March 28, 2022, at Memorial Health in Savannah.

Mr. Kight was born in North Carolina, grew up in Tarrytown and attended school in Treutlen and Toombs Counties. He worked with the family in the timber business for a short time. He worked for Fiber Optic in Vidalia and Kennedy Cable Construction in Reidsville. He owned K& K Utility Construction, Inc., in Reidsville. He was preceded in death by his wife, Audrey Faye McGahee Kight, and siblings, Virgil, Billy, Dale, Gary and George Kight.

Survivors include 1 daughter, Jamie Kight Simmons and her husband, Johnny, Claxton; twin granddaughters, Jenna and Jordan Simmons, Claxton; and 1 sibling, Judy Kight Helms, North Carolina.

A graveside service was held on Wednesday, March 30, 2022, at 3:00 p.m. in Tarrytown Cemetery in

Tarrytown. Pallbearers were Kelvin Kuhl, Pete Revis, Thomas Toler, Bobby Cowart, Matt Moore, Jody Gilreath, David Culberson, Aldrick Hill and Tommy Lanier. Sammons Funeral

Home in Soperton was in charge of arrangements.
