Ms. Monica Barrese Ms. Monica Barrese

Ms. Monica Barrese, age 58, of Reidsville, died on Friday, May 22, 2026, at Community Hospice House in Vidalia following a brief illness.

Ms. Barrese was a native of New Jersey and spent most of her life in Florida before recently moving to Reidsville. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Sharon Barrese, and her life partner, Stephanie Robinson.

Ms. Barrese is survived by 2 sisters, Donna Harris and husband Jon of Richmond, KY, and Brenda Hill and husband Jon of Emporia, VA; 1 brother, Joseph Barrese of Benton, PA; a cousin, Kelly Stephens and husband Pate and their children and grandchildren, all of Vidalia; several nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces and nephews.

There will be a simple celebration on Sunday evening, June 14, at 3:00 at North Thompson Baptist Church with Pastor Joe Phillips officiating. A celebration of her life will also be held on Monday, July 13, in Cocoa Beach, FL.

Instead of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Montgomery County Public Library, 215 South Railroad Avenue, Mount Vernon, Ga 30445.
