Devils Top Lady Vikings

The Treutlen High School Lady Vikings softball team played just one game last week as they lost to the Red Devils of Hawkinsville on the road on Tuesday. Treutlen got on the board first with a run in the top of the first inning, but the Devils put four on the board in the bottom of the frame to jump ahead, 4-1. Hawkinsville added six more in the second inning as they took control, 10-1.

The Vikings scored one in the fourth and one in the fifth, but that was all they could get, with Hawkinsville adding one more in the sixth inning to take the game by the run rule, 11-3.

Jakayla Jordan led the Vikings with three hits on the day.

This week Treutlen hosted Dublin on Monday, and was at Wheeler County on Tuesday after presstime. They will be at home against Wilcox County on Thursday at 5:00 p.m.
