mrandolphadvance@gmail.com

Community members will have the chance to buy several goods, gifts, and products from local vendors, farmers, and business owners on Saturday, June 6, as the Lyons Main Street Association hosts the Hometown Market on Broad from 9 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 6, at the 304 Society Garden, located at 111 N. Washington Street in Lyons.

This event comes as a result of a collaborative effort between Lyons Community Development Director Jessica Barfield McCoy and local business owners Sheila Adams and continued from page

Laura Toole, who have been trying to create a monthly farmers market within the city. The market is designed to help encourage citizens to shop local, support small businesses, and enjoy all of the things that the community has to offer.

Some of the vendors that will be set up at the event include Pine Meadows Flower Farm, Watts Creek Farms Mercantile, Steppers Coffee, Downtown Craft House, Dailey Defense, Hopkins Farms, Eugene Edwards, Double P Honey Bee, Elkhatib’s Mediterranean Sizzle, Nancy Stanley, A & M Farms, Mixon Pecans and Monique’s Quilting, Living in the Overflow, Mystical Wild Roots, and more. Items available for purchase include produce, flowers, baked goods, coffee, honey, handcrafted items, unique gifts, and food. Face painting will also be available for children.

The event is free and open to the public. For more information, call (912) 293-5746.
