had an honorable race after returning from a long term injury.

Senior Cash Driggers led the charge with a silver- medal performance, leading the way for this very talented team. Freshman Wyatt Vassey matched his training partner stride for stride to take fourth, while junior Simon Collins continued his breakout season with a fifth-place finish.
The scoring was completed by juniors Greg Taylor and Marvin Onate, who delivered clutch performances when their team needed them most. Several of the Vidalia athletes ran significant personal best times today including two more freshmen, Brennan Hammock and Kartel Lane.
“These runners have been on a mission since June,” said coach Mandy Godbee. “Cash and Judith set the standard, but every single one of them ran a great race when it mattered.” The Indians’ success is a testament to years of consistent training, strategic racing, and an unbreakable team culture. They know that they have one more big race Saturday as they travel to Carrollton for the GHSA State Championship where they look to make history for Vidalia High School.
