Lyons Lions Recognizes Outstanding Students

The Lyons Lions Club recently recognized three students for their excellence in the classroom through their monthly Student of the Month presentations.

Each month, the Lyons Lions Club recognizes one student each from Toombs County High School and Robert Toombs Christian Academy who exemplifies dedication, commitment, and service to others.

This month, the award recipients were Robert Toombs Christian Academy Student Drew Edwards and Toombs County High School Student Marcos Lopez-Ortega. September Lions Club Student of the Month Samantha Greenhouse was also recognized during the presentation, as she was unable to attend the meeting last month.

Peoples Bank sponsors the program and provides lunch for the honorees and their parents. The students also receive gift cards donated by Arby’s and Chick-Fil-A for the accomplishment.
