The City of Vidalia’s annual Christmas parade – which will celebrate the March of the Toys – will hit the streets at 11 a.m. on Saturday morning, December 6. This parade, which will be led by Grand Marshal Wilson Johnson, is sure to excite individuals of all ages, as the floats celebrate current and past iconic toys.

The Vidalia Christmas Parade will also feature a quiet zone for spectators with sensory issues. This zone will be located at the beginning of the parade route, from the intersection of U.S. Highway 280 and Church Street until the intersection of U.S. Highway 280 and Jackson Street.

The City of Alamo will celebrate Christmas with their annual Christmas in the City Celebration on December 6, which will end the night with a parade dedicated to the Wheeler County High School Bulldogs, as the city celebrates the school’s history football season. During the season, the Bulldogs advanced to the state football playoffs for the first time in the school’s history, and made it to the Elite Eight before being defeated by Clinch County by five points. The parade will emphasize the city’s pride in these student athletes, as the team will serve as the parade’s grand marshals.
