Brewton-Parker Christian University will update the public on happenings at the college and hear an inspirational message from Atlanta Braves Chaplain Jay McSwain at the President’s Gala on Tuesday, September 23, at the First Baptist Church of Vidalia.
Each year, the college hosts a gala to celebrate the improvements that the institution has made over the years. At these galas, administrators share information about the accomplishments and innovations occurring at the college, and distinguished inspirational speakers deliver a message to attendees. Speakers in recent years at the galas include former University of Georgia Head Football Coach Mark Richt and former Clemson University Head Football Coach Tommy Bowden.
This year, Atlanta Braves Chaplain Jay Mc-Swain will address the audience for the keynote address. In addition to ministering to the Braves, McSwain has spent decades helping people to find their “place” in life, as he founded PLACE Ministries in 1998. He has a passion for working with pastors and business leaders, and is sure to captivate any audience.
