Heritage Off To 4-0 Start

The Vidalia Heritage Academy Eagles baseball team defeated Telfair County on Monday of last week and then got a win over Hawkinsville on Tuesday as they are off to a 4-0 start on the season. vs. Telfair

The Eagles had no problems with the GHSA foe Telfair on Monday evening. Heritage plated two runs in the bottom of the first inning and then were on top 5-0 with three more runs in the second inning.

Heritage added a run in the third inning and then put three more on the board in the fourth as they took a 9-0 lead. VHA closed out the game with a run in the fifth to win 10-0 by the run rule.

Heritage was led by Greer Posey and JT Cofield with 2 RBI's each. vs. Hawkinsville

Heritage held off a late charge by the Red Devils to pick up a win. Heritage took the lead early in the game with two runs in the first inning and then another in the second to lead 3-0. Heritage then plated a run in the fourth and two more in the fifth to go on top 6-0.

Hawkinsville tried to make a run in the top of the seventh inning as they scored three runs, but Heritage shut them down to take the win, 6-3.

This week Heritage was at Mt. Zion on Tuesday after presstime. They will be back in action on Thursday at home against Frederica Academy at 4:00 p.m., and then on Friday they will be at Telfair County at 6:00 p.m.
