On Friday, July 10, the Lyons Main Street Association presented Square One LLC. Owner Kip Hart with a $1,500 BOOST Grant to help improve the location.

The BOOST Improvement Matching Grant Program is a funding opportunity for commercial tenants and commercial property owners in Downtown Lyons and along U.S. Highway 1, U.S. Highway 280, and Georgia Highway 292 within the city limits. This grant requires matching funding from the recipient and may cover the cost of approved storefront or interior renovations, signage, awning installation, security system installation, business equipment, or other specific needs.

Hart used the funding towards improving his building located at 165 SW Broad Street – which formerly housed Gardens of Hope Recovery Community Organization (RCO) – in preparation for future tenants.
