WRECK ENDS IN FLAMES — A wreck at the intersection of Rudell Road and SR 292 Wednesday afternoon in Vidalia left one vehicle burnt after the collision sparked a fire in the vehicle's engine. Vidalia Fire Chief Brian Sikes said this type of blaze is a common occurrence with wrecks, and that the fire was extinguished quickly and no parties were injured, to his knowledge. REMOVING A HAZARD – Because of the deterioration and damage of the old Montgomery County Middle School building, which is located behind the Montgomery County Board of Education, the structure will be demolished in the coming month.
