That was as close as the game would get. Lyons broke things open in the second inning, bringing home eight runs to build a 9-1 advantage. They tacked on another run in the third and three more in the fourth, cruising to a 13-1 win over Vidalia.
LRD vs. Emanuel Co.
The victory moved Lyons into the semifinals of the winners' bracket to face Emanuel County. Continuing their steady play, Lyons controlled the game from start to finish. They dispatched Emanuel 9-1, officially securing their spot in the Championship Game.
VRD vs. Candler Co.
Over in the losers' bracket, Vidalia fought to keep their season alive against Candler County. Vidalia grabbed an early lead, scoring four runs in the top of the first inning. Candler slowly chipped away, closing the gap to 4-3 by the bottom of the third.
The teams traded runs through the middle innings, each scoring three in the fourth and three more in the fifth, leaving Vidalia clinging to a narrow 10-9 lead. Vidalia’s offense finally pulled away in the top of the sixth, putting up six runs to put the game out of reach and secure a 16-9 win.
VRD vs. Glennville
Up next for Vidalia was an elimination game against Glennville. Glennville struck early, scoring two runs in the first inning, two in the second, and one in the third to build a 5-0 lead. Vidalia showed resilience, pushing across three runs over the remaining innings, but the early deficit proved too much to overcome. Glennville held on for a 5-3 win, bringing Vidalia's gritty tournament run to a close.
Following their win over Vidalia, Glennville went on to face Emanuel County in the losers' bracket final. Glennville defeated Emanuel, earning their right to advance and play Lyons for the title.

Glennville got on the board first with a run in the top of the second inning to take a 1-0 lead. It was a short-lived advantage. Lyons answered in the bottom half of the frame, putting up eight runs to flip the momentum and take a commanding 8-1 lead. The Lyons offense added four more runs in the fourth inning to seal a 12-1 victory and claim the Championship.
