The Four Rivers Patriots Chapter, Georgia Society Sons of the American Revolution held its monthly meeting on Thursday, May 21, 2026, at Chatters Restaurant in Lyons. With President Joel Keener presiding, they had 21 in attendance.

East Fall Line Region Vice President Dess Smith introduced the speaker, Compatriot Hu Daughtry of the Mill Creek Chapter in Statesboro, who presented his program on 'Soldiers Named Dickey.' Hu and his wife Susan live in Metter, and he is retired a Pharmacist.

VP Smith then presented Sgt.-at-Arms Dan Brown with 5 Chapter Streamers: 3 from the Georgia Society for 2025, State PG Chapter of Distinction Streamer, Distinguished Chapter Streamer, Membership Streamer; and also the .3 Patriot Grave Marking Streamer from the Wright Square Burial Ground in Brunswick and the 248th Anniversary of the Frederica Naval Action on Saint Simons Island Streamer for presenting the Chapter Wreath at each event.

New members William Earl Collins, Sr., and William Earl Collins, Jr., were inducted into the Four Rivers Patriots Chapter.

Dess Smith III, Emory Fennell, Joyce Fennell, Bill Carmichael were also in attendance. The next meeting will be Thursday, June 18, 2026, at Chatters Restaurant at 6:00 to eat.'
