thers. The GHSA Class A Division II Elite 8 matchup took place on the Bulldogs' home court in Alamo, bringing a close to a dominant run for the local team.

The game was tightly contested, but the Panthers managed to build an eightpoint advantage, leading 50–42 at the conclusion of the third quarter. Entering the final frame, Wheeler County mounted a steady offensive push to close the gap and pressure the visitors. However, Clinch County held their ground down the stretch, making the necessary stops to prevent the Bulldogs from completing the comeback before the final buzzer sounded.

Despite the tournament exit, the Bulldogs put together a highly successful campaign. Wheeler County finished the year with a strong 22-5 overall record. Before reaching the State Quarterfinals, the team controlled their local schedule, finishing first in the Region standings during the regular season and subsequently capturing the Region Tournament Championship to cap off an excellent year.
