BEATING THE HEAT TO KEEP IT CLEAN – The Keep It Clean Vidalia volunteers beat the heat early Saturday morning, July 11, as they met for their monthly clean-up effort. During the clean-up, twenty-five volunteers picked up thirty bags of trash and one shopping cart along portions of Georgia Highway 292, U.S. Highway 280, Aimwell Road, Broadfoot Boulevard, and Lyons-Vidalia Road. A LASTING LEGACY – Greater Vidalia Chamber Vice President Debbie Evans was honored for the legacy that she has left on the region and the state, as she has served the community for over thirty years.

A GROUP EFFORT – During the Georgia Recovery-Ready Workplace Initiative (GROW), employers, recovery organizations, and leaders across Georgia will come together to help develop and strengthen recovery-friendly workplace practices that can serve communities throughout the state. The City of Lyons began this process last week, when several city representatives, Gardens of Hope Recovery Community Organization leaders, and Initiative partners met to discuss the project.
