Patriotic Cantata

The Lyons Community Church Choir will celebrate America’s 250th Birthday with a special patriotic cantata entitled “Sweet Freedom’s Song” on Sunday, July 5, at 5:00 p.m. in the Lyons Community Church sanctuary, 126 E. Wesley Ave., Lyons. The special choir of nearly 30 voices from throughout Toombs/ Tattnall/ Montgomery/ Emanuel Counties welcomes you to attend this free concert and enjoy a reception of food and fellowship afterwards.

Georgia Bible Reading Day

Montgomery, Toombs, Treutlen, and Wheeler Counties will read portions of the Bible outside of their respective county courthouses on Tuesday, July 14, as a part of Georgia Bible Reading Day. Toombs, Treutlen, and Wheeler County’s readings will begin at 7:14 a.m.; Montgomery County’s reading will begin at 7:14 p.m. This event is free and open to all community members.

Vacation Bible School

Liberty Baptist Church, 536 S. Victory Dr., Lyons, will have Vacation Bible School July 13-17, 6:00 – 8:30 p.m., for ages 4-12.
