Children and adults have enjoyed a delightful summer reading program at the Treutlen County Library, which included a presentation by Barry Stewart Mann on Wednesday, June 18, titled “Hot Diggity Doug.” Barry is a professional Atlanta-based storyteller who has been delighting audiences and inspiring children for decades. He entertained the summer reading program children with poems, songs, and stories with interactive retelling of familiar children’s books.

The presentation was fast-paced, with lots of opportunities for the kids to join in the fun, including the children using puppets as part of the story telling.

The Treutlen County Library’s staff and directors’ board are grateful for the support they have received this summer for the Summer Reading Program, which allows children to improve their reading skills and enjoy activities with other children. The public is encouraged to take advantage of what the library has to offer and is open Monday-Thursday from 10 a.m.-6 p.m.
