Wheeler Honors 2026 Graduates

Wheeler County High School celebrated the accomplishments of the Class of 2026 during an Honors Night ceremony on Thursday, May 14.
Anna Beth Ethredge will graduate as the Valedictorian of her class on Friday, May 22, as Layla Gibbs serves as the class’s Salutatorian. Other Honor Graduates are C.J. Bowman, Irvoni Bryant, Trent Butler, Tobias Clark, Lane Connell, Laurie Conner, Shelley Conner, Juan Delgado, Carson Ford, Tyona Green, Brayden Horne, Nikita James, Aiden Lanier, Brittny Martinez, Kyla McClure, Jekayla Mills, Erin Ricks, Isabelle Sellers, Konner Smith, Remington Smith, and Reco Wooten.
During the ceremony, eight students were recognized for being members of the SAT 1000 Club, meaning they scored a 1,000 at least one time on the SAT during high school. These students are Lane Connell, Carson Ford, Layla Gibbs, Tyona Green, Nikita James, Kyla McClure, Erin Ricks, and Isabelle Sellers.
Adrianna Bazemore was celebrated during the event for coming in fifth place in the Heart of Georgia Regional Education Service Agency (RESA) Writing Competition.

man Brayden Horne was presented the Oustanding Achievement Award, and Mela Weedman was recognized for completing the Distribution and Logistics Pathway.
Nikita James took home four scholarships – the Christine Harris Memorial Scholarship, Glenwood Masonic Lodge Scholarship, Lillie B. Johnson Scholarship, and Tri-County Family Connection Scholarship.
Anna Beth Ethredge received the Alamo Lions Club Scholarship, while Laurie Conner accepted the Edna and Shirley Smith Honorary Scholarship. Lily Van Houten was awarded the Glenwood Masonic Lodge Scholarship, Layla Gibbes was presented the Hadden Insurance Scholarship, and Amaru Weeks and Alvin Ricks each took home the Impact Worship Center Scholarship. Jadirra Randolph received the Lillie B. Johnson Scholarship, and Reco Wooten was presented the REACH Scholarship.
The Wheeler County High School Class of 2026 will officially graduate the school doing a ceremony at 8 p.m. on Friday, May 22, at the high school’s football stadium.
