Treutlen Vikings Celebrate 57 Graduates

The Treutlen High School Class of 2026 had their Graduation Ceremony Sunday night, May 17, 2026, at 8 p.m. The ceremony was scheduled to be held at Bobby Driggers Stadium. However, due to unexpected stormy weather, the graduation ceremony was moved next door to the school gymnasium. The THS Class of 2026 included 57 graduates with 16 honored as Beta Students and 14 of those as Honor Graduates. Honor Graduates Takyla Danielle Wadley gave the Invocation, Mary Claire Corbett gave the Benediction, Za’Niah D’Asia Richards led the Pledge of Allegiance, and Marley Pauline Strickland sang the National Anthem.

Salutatorian Alexander Michael Sammons delivered the night’s Welcome and Valedictorian Bailey Elizabeth Edge gave the Valedictory Address.

Despite the weather and the change in venue, the gymnasium was standing room only as graduates received their diplomas before a large and enthusiastic crowd of family and friends. Loud cheers and applause filled the gymnasium as each graduate’s name was called and their tassel turned.

Ending the night’s ceremony was the tradition of graduates presenting roses to their chosen family member.
