On Saturday, May 16, 2026, the Grace Walkers met for the 10th year at the home of Larry and Barbara Cowart to walk 6 kilometers to donate money to dig wells in developing countries. Without wells and running water available in many developing parts of the world, 6K (6 kilometers or 3.728 miles) is the average distance women and children walk to get water – water that is often contaminated with life-threatening diseases. The World Vision Global 6K for Water is a worldwide run, walk, or roll event that provides life-changing clean water to those in need. When a church hosts the Global 6K for Water, the door is opened for friends, family and anyone in the community to see the transformation Jesus offers around the world. “Every step you take is one they won't have to.” Grace Walkers in Vidalia are David Allen, Joyce Allen, Etta Boss-Cole, Audrey Cowart, Barbara Cowart, Larry Cowart, Trey Cowart, Jeannie Griffies, Breona Hooper, Jan Lee, Jennifer Molford, Ashley Neese, Kimberly NeSmith, Wren NeSmith, Jessica Parten, Millie Perry, Chris Ray, Janie Ricks, Marissa Roberts, Kendal Sanden, Eftan Sock, Emmanuel Sock, Jeremiah Sock, Gwen Warren, Mary Alice Wilder, Catlyn Winberry, and walking for Grace Walkers in North Carolina was Phyliss Miller and in Illinois was Tonya Fawkes.
