TCHS Celebrates Class of 2026

Toombs County High School celebrated the accomplishments of the Class of 2026 Bulldogs during the Senior Honors Night on Monday, May 11.

The event began as school administrators recognized Valedictorian Mareli Luna-Munoz and Salutatorian Emily Carter for graduating at the top of their class. Numerous Honor Graduates with Distinction – students earning Honor Graduate status while taking advanced classes – were acknowledged, including Ella Adams, Noah Anken, Olivia Bargeron, Bentlee Beasley, Tucker Braddy, Madison Bradford, Jordan Clark Brannen, Tyson Brantley, Emily Bryant, Emily Carter, Lynet Casas, Lucas Coley, Sadie Deperro, Jazmine Easton, Gavin Fletcher, Jeremy Galarza Ramos, Aubrey Gay, Areli Gonzalez-Reyes, Brayden Harrison, Camila Hernandez, Piedad “LJ” Hernandez, Arianna Hill, Tycen Hutchinson, Kimberly Jimenez-Cortez, Layasia Johnson, Shakayla Joseph, Sophie Kelly, Stephen Khabirov, Shaylan Kight, Mareli Luna-Munoz, Abby McLendon, Colin Milligan, Wesley Vick Moore, Erick Nahuaca, Wilberth Oliveros Barcenas, Alivia Patrick, Jean Peterson, Stephen Poppell, Emerson Powell, Elijah Renner, Danaka Robbins, Ana Rodriguez, Mario Rojas- Perez, Randi Rollins, Ryder Sears, Dominick Smith, Marishka Smith, Alazia Solomon, Parker Stanley, Miley Velazquez-Perez, Jasmine Villegas, Sarah Ellis Walker, Benjamin Rhys Ward, Gavin Ward, Ethan Welch, Jack Williams, Drew Woodruff, Emma Wright, and Laura Zamorano.

Honor Graduates recognized were Jeremiah Ball, Leia Bradley, Cornelius Bullard, Clay Conner, Annalee Garcia, Jamal Gillis, Jacqueline Gonzalez, Oscar Gonzalez-Espinosa, Catherine Gutierrez, Florelia Lopez, Marcos Lopez-Ortega, Landon Lovett, Natalie Ornelas, Mariah Page, Justin Powell, Hayden Roy, Richard Santiago-Avila, Alexander Stewart, Ar'xavier Taylor, Auston Thompson, Kammari Williams, Michael Woodard, and Monica Zamorano.

The Toombs County High School Class of 2026 has also been awarded over $340,000 of scholarships. These scholarships included: • Ella Kate Adams – Scott Meehan Memorial Scholarship, Meadows Youth Advisory Board – Medical Staff Scholarship • Emerson Powell – William “Jinky” Hooker Scholarship, Dental Center of Vidalia Scholarship, Barney Bonfield Scholarship, Brewton-Parker Christian University Soccer Scholarship • Justice Wilds – Imago Dei Mission Scholarship • Madison Bradford – Toombs County Retired Educators Association Estelle Walker Jackson Memorial Scholarship, REACH Scholarship • Mareli Luna-Munoz – Memorial Health Meadows Hospital Auxiliary Scholarship, Walter Harrison Scholarship, Altamaha EMC Foundation Scholarship, American Red Cross Scholarship, Billie Roberson Scholarship • Catherine Gutierrez – Salem College Presidential Scholars Scholarship • Auston ompson – Toombs County 4-H Achievement Scholarship • Randi Rollins – Toombs County Young Farmers Johnny Jones Memorial Scholarship • Marishka Smith – Toombs County Young Farmers Donnie Mann Memorial Scholarship, REACH Scholarship • Kimberly Jiminez- Cortes – REACH Scholarship • Ty'Quan Monroe – REACH Scholarship • Laura Zamorano – REACH Scholarship • Tyler Reese – Ameri can Red Cross Scholarship • Abby McLendon – Hart of Dixie Outdoors Scholarship, National Wild Turkey Federation Dr. James Earl Kennamer Scholarship • Ryder Sears – Georgia Southern University Eagle Scholar Award Scholarship Colin Milligan – Georgia Southern University Carter Scholarship by the Gretsch School of Music • Arianna Hill – HCA Patricia Frist Memorial Scholarship, Reinhardt University Basketball and Academic Scholarship • Sophie Kelly – Brew ton-Parker Christian University Dual Enrollment Excellence Scholarship, Brewton-Parker Christian University Competition Cheerleading Scholarship • Clark Brannen – Billy Roberson Scholarship • Justin Powell – Rice University Football Scholarship • Gavin Fletcher – Morehouse College Football Scholarship • Hayden Roy – Uni versity of Toledo Football Scholarship • Jasmine Villegas – Life University Wrestling Scholarship • Lucas Coley – Brew ton-Parker Christian University Wrestling Scholarship • Tyson Brantley – Southeastern University Wrestling Scholarship • Drew Woodru- – Brewton-Parker Christian University Golf Scholarship • Alex Patrick – Brew ton-Parker Christian University Golf Scholarship • Ty Hutcheson – Bel mont-Abbey University Baseball Scholarship • Lydia Patrick – Brew ton-Parker Christian University Volleyball Scholarship • Emma Wright – Brewton-Parker Christian University Soccer Scholarship • Miley Velasquez Perez was recognized for being the district’s Migrant Student of the Year, Jean Peterson was celebrated for being selected as a delegate to the EMC Washington Youth Tour, and Ben Swearingen and Auston Thompson were presented with Georgia 4-H graduation cords to honor the time they spent as members of the Toombs County 4-H Club.

• Advanced Placement Calculus – Vick Moore • Advanced Placement Math Decision Making – Landon Cole Lovett • Human Anatomy and Physiology – Emily Carter • Advanced Placement Environmental Science – Jean Peterson • British Literature – Catherine Gutierrez Graduates choosing to enlist in the military were also recognized during the ceremony. These students are Jeremiah Miller – U.S. Marine Corps, Travis Rewis – U.S. Army, and Mareli Luna—Munoz and Miley Velasquez Perez – U.S. Army National Guard.

Brandon Batey was honored for placing in the district’s Young Georgia Authors contest, while Colin Milligan was recognized for receiving first place in the region Boys Quartet literary competition, Ana Rodriguez was honored for receiving first place in the Girls Solo literary competition, and Emily Carter was celebrated for being named the Chorus Most Valuable Singer.

The Toombs County High School Class of 2026 officially ended their high school careers on Saturday, May 16, as they graduated from the district.
