Purvis, Silvers

Kimberly Ann Purvis and Christopher “Colt” Silvers announce their engagement.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Janice Pittman Purvis of Cedar Grove and the late Henry Purvis. She is the granddaughter of the late Adrian and Evelyn Purvis of Cedar Grove and the late Clyde and Ruby Pittman of English Eddy.

Miss Purvis is a graduate of Trinity Christian School and Middle Georgia State University. She is an author and illustrator, having published over 25 books. She also works on her family’s farm. The groom-elect is the son of Jerry Silvers of Tarrytown and Bibi Morris of Lyons. He is the grandson of Daisy Morris of Santa Claus and the late Bibb Morris, and the late Doris Adams of Uvalda and Ralph Silvers of Kona, NC.

Mr. Silvers is a graduate of Montgomery County High School. He is the owner/operator of Silverwares Barbecue in Lyons, for over 16 years.

The private wedding will be held on October 1, 2026.
