TCHS Student Recognized By State Superintendent

Toombs County High School (TCHS) Senior Lynet Casas was one of 21 students from across the state who presented with the Award of Excellence by State School Superintendent Richard Woods during a ceremony at the Georgia Department of Education in Atlanta.
The Award of Excellence is given annually to one senior in each congressional district who has demonstrated outstanding achievements in employment, academics, and extracurricular activities. Toombs County Schools Transition Coordinator Sabrina Campbell nominated Casas for the award because of her exceptional academic skills, strong work ethic, dependability, and exemplary attitude.
Casas, daughter of Antonio and Yolanda Casas, will graduate with honors from Toombs County High School this month. Throughout high school, she has dedicated herself to her studies, completing 11 Advanced Placement (AP) and dual enrollment college courses while maintaining a strong academic record.
