BRINGING UP GRADES CELEBRATION – Each semester, the Kiwanis Club of Vidalia celebrates students who have shown good character and improvement in their academics with a Bringing Up Grades (BUG) Celebration. This semester, the event was held on Friday, May 1.

Each semester, the Kiwanis Club of Vidalia provides selected students from Sally D. Meadows Elementary School with lunch from Chick-fil-A, a visit with the famous Chick-fil-A Cow, and extra time on the playground as a part of the Club’s Bringing Up Grades (BUG) Celebration. These students were most recently recognized during the Celebration on Friday, May 1 Each semester, teachers and administrators select one student from their classes that have shown exemplary behavior or have improved their grades throughout the semester to take part in the fun. The students selected by their teachers were as follows: Kehlani Cobb, Liliana Wood, Jimmy Sotomayer, Shamar Thomas, Sophie Moore, Bella Anthony, Raylyn MacDonald, Sencere Garner, Lauren Mackey, Chloe Kennedy, Keyoni Knight, Maddoxx Rigdon, Demarion Johnson, Idalia Herrera, Legacy Cartrette, Kadyn Merrit, Oscar Berreda, Paislee Hunt, Lamar White, Ja’zari Simpson, Malik Knight, Naitlyn Powell, Logan Wood, Roman Almazon, Symiere Mincey, Gavin Phillips, Kade Harris, Tevin Snell, T.J. Smarts, Camden Walker, Mia Martinez, King Harris, and Bailey Holloway.

The Kiwanis Club of Vidalia will honor more students later in the semester during their Fall BUG Celebration.
