Barons Track Caps Season with All American Success

The Brewton-Parker College Barons Track and Field team showcased their talents at the Nationals Outdoor event held on May 21-23, 2025, in Marion, Indiana. The event drew competitors from various schools who had qualified for this highstakes championship.
The Barons’ 4×100 relay team stepped up, earning significant recognition by finishing 7th nationally. The team, consisting of Donta’ Williams, Tysheem Denton, Hollis Morton, and Travis Massey, not only claimed a top spot but also secured All-American status because of their performance. In addition to his contributions in the relay, Travis Massey achieved further glory by finishing 6th nationally in the 100m event, thereby becoming a 2x All-American, adding to his Indoor All-American status to cap off an incredible season.
In field events, Jonah McNealey represented the Barons in the Triple Jump, where he landed a jump of 13.88 meters, ranking him 21st nationally. His efforts culminated in a season of hard-fought performances and individual accomplishments among the team members. Javon Mclean qualified to compete in the long jump at Nationals, but his scores were disqualified due to unforeseen circumstances.
As the Barons close this season, they reflect on a historic series of achievements, including having four members of their team earn All-American status. With the next season’s events and opponents on the horizon, the team is poised to build on its success and continue its pursuit of excellence in Track and Field.
