The Vidalia High School baseball team played three games last week. They fell to Pierce County at home on Tuesday, and then lost to Ware County on the road on Thursday. The Indians bounced back on Friday with a win at home over the Warriors of Tattnall County. vs. Pierce

Pierce took the lead with a run in the top of the first inning, but the Indians tied the game in the bottom of the frame at 1-1. Pierce opened it up in the top of the second inning with four more runs to take a 5-1 lead.

Pierce added two more runs in the fourth inning. VHS did manage to get a run in the bottom of the seventh inning, but they fell to the Bears, 7-2. vs. Ware

VHS came out and took the early lead with two runs in the top of the first inning off a hit by Clay Mimbs. But in the bottom of the second inning, the Gators of Ware exploded for 13 runs.

Ware added another in the fourth as they held a 14-2 lead over the Indians. VHS plated a run in the top of the fifth inning, but that was not enough as Ware took the win, 143. vs. Tattnall

VHS got the bats going against Tattnall with Veer Patel leading the way with three hits.

Vidalia took the lead in the first inning on a sacrifice fly by Cayden Nance. Tattnall tied the game at 1-1 in the top of the fourth inning, but the Indians plated five runs in the bottom of the frame to take a 6-1 lead. Eion Rylas doubled in a run, Patel drove in two runs with a double, Ryan Brantley singled in a run, and Jackson Berry walked with the bases loaded.

VHS added three more runs in the sixth inning to take a 9-1 lead. Tattnall picked up one in the top of the seventh, but VHS took the win, 9- 2.

This week VHS hosted Treutlen on Tuesday after presstime. They are not scheduled to be back on the diamond until next week on Tuesday against Savannah Christian at 5:45 p.m.
