The Toombs County High School Bulldogs Esports Splatoon 3 team concluded their impressive run to the GHSA Esports State Championships with a third-place finish, falling short to Brookwood High School of Snellville, Georgia, in a hard-fought battle that ended 3-1.

The Bulldogs kicked off the match with a smartly played Turfwar win over the Broncos. However, despite their strong start, Brookwood proved to be a formidable opponent, dominating the next three rounds of the match and securing the victory.

This marks the second consecutive year that the Bulldogs have secured third place at the state championships. The Bulldogs came close to improving their standing from the Fall when they finished as State Runner-Up.

The Bulldogs remain undeterred and are already setting their sights on the Fall 2024 season. With plans to field multiple teams in Rocket League, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, and Splatoon 3, they are determined to continue their tradition of success in the Esports arena.
