From the Altamaha Interview an Octogenarian Winner were honored at the production’s first show of the 2024 season on Thursday, April 18. This year, it was Tales From the
Altamaha Cast Member Ruth Fontaine who took home first place for her essay, “Prom, Penicillin, and Buried Blood.” Ruth interviewed Sue Johnson (age 86) and Martha Shepherd (age 80). Their adventures will be brought to life on stage next year as Ruth’s story has been recorded, and it will live on in next year’s Tales from the Altamaha.
