Robert Toombs Tennis At Region

The Robert Toombs Christian Academy tennis teams were at the Region Tournament last week in Macon. RTCA had two singles and two doubles teams place to qualify for State.

In singles James Varnes placed 4th for the boys, and Caroline Thompson was 4th for the girls, with both qualifying for State. The doubles team of Hayden Kight and Drew Vaughn took second place for the boys, and the team of Haylie Kight and Ella Newton finished in 3rd place for the girls.

The RTCA girls also took 2nd place overall as a team to qualify for State.

Everyone who placed at the Region Tournament played at the Individual State Tournament which was held on Monday of this week after presstime at the John Drew Smith Tennis Center in Macon. The Lady Crusaders as a team will also play at State which will be held on April 23-24 at the same location.
