Toombs County High School football standout Keshon Deloach signed his letter of intent on Wednesday of last week to continue his education and athletic career at Cumberland University.

Cumberland University is located in Lebanon, TN, and competes in the Mid-South Conference of the NAIA division. Deloach is now the third class of 2024 football player to receive a college football scholarship.

Deloach stated, “I feel really good today. I think that I will be able to play right away at Cuberland, and I felt it was the best school for my talents. The coaches are great, they really welcomed me in, and it is just outside of Nashville, which is nice. I really want to thank Coach Martin for giving me the opportunity, my teammates for welcoming me in and everyone in the community.”

Deloach's grandmother, Regina Stokes, added, “Words cannot express how proud I am of Keshon on moving to the next level and for the person that he has become. I am very excited for him to get this chance. I haven't ever missed a game of his since he was seven years old, and I'm planning on being at every one I get the chance to still.”

TCHS Head Coach Buddy Martin said, “Keshon is a special athlete and a special young man. This is a great opportunity for him to continue his athletic career. Since Keshon walked in the door at Toombs County High, he has been laser focused on being the best he can be and also at being a great teammate. He is ready to compete at the next level. Keshon is a winner, and we are excited to see what the future holds for him at Cumberland University.”
