VHS Soccer Drops Games

It was a tough week for the Vidalia High School soccer teams as they dropped both games to Pierce County and Appling County last week.

Girls vs. Pierce

The Lady Indians struggled on both sides of the ball against the Lady Bears of Pierce County last Tuesday in Blackshear.

Pierce scored consistently in the game on the way to an 8-0 win over VHS.

Boys vs. Pierce

The VHS boys kept it close with the Bears, but fell in the end. Each team scored a goal in the first half to send the game to halftime tied at 1-1.

But in the second half, the Bears found the back of the net one time while keeping the Indians off to board to claim a 2-1 win.

Girls vs. Appling

The VHS girls played better, but could not put any points on the board. Appling got to work in the second half of the game as they posted three goals to take the win over VHS, 3-0 Boys vs. Appling

It was all Pirates in the boys game as Appling rolled to a win. They put seven goals on the board in the second half of the game on the way to a 7-0 win over the VHS boys.

This week the Indians hosted Toombs County on Tuesday after presstime. They will be back in action on Thursday at 5:00 p.m. at Savannah Arts.
