VHS Golf On The Course

The Vidalia High School Indian golf teams have gotten off to a good start, with both teams taking their first two matches. vs. Pinewood

In their first match against Pinewood, the boys defeated the Patriots by ten strokes, 162-172, behind Tucker Reynolds’s 36. The Lady Indians edged out the Lady Patriots by a single stroke, 108109, with Taylor Cox coming in as Vidalia’s low score with a 54. vs. Brantley

Vidalia continued their winning ways in their next outing, sweeping both matches against Region 3AA foe Brantley County. Austin Mosley’s 39 helped lead the Indians to a 32-stroke victory over the Herons, 173-205. On the girls’ side, Kendall Bloxham’s 51 helped propel the Lady Indians to a 22-stroke win, 104-126. vs. SE Bulloch

The Indians and Lady Indians both suffered their first loss of the year against AAAA Southeast Bulloch. Despite shooting their lowest score of the young season and Austin Mosley firing a 34, the Indians lost by three strokes 157-160. In girls’ action, Kendall Bloxham once again came in as the low scorer for the Lady Indians with a 50, but it wasn’t enough as the Lady Yellow Jackets ended the day with an 18-stroke win 137-155.
