Robert Toombs Christian Academy's boys' and girls' track and field teams competed in their first meet last Wednesday at the Gator Relays held at Georgia Southern. There were 8 teams competing in total and RTCA finished 3rd.

Coach Jake Wilkinson commented, “We had several top four finishers against very good competition. I was proud of both our teams and how we performed with a small number of athletes. I feel like once we have everyone there and healthy our teams will be able to make a strong run at Region and State once again.”

Mekhia Bell led the way for the Lady Crusaders with a 1st place finish in both the 100m and 200m dashes. Kylie Acosta took 1st place in the triple jump, Rachel Threlkeld came in 2nd in the pole vault, and Mandy Johnson finished 2nd in the shot put.
