The Greater Vidalia Chamber recently celebrated three decades of leadership and service to the community through an event held at The Gathering Place on Thursday, March 14.

The milestone event commemorated 30 years of empowering individuals, businesses, and surrounding communities through the Chamber’s leadership program, which began as the Toombs-Montgomery Leadership and Leadership Toombs, but has since been rebranded as Leadership Greater Vidalia. In this program, participants attend monthly sessions where they learn about various aspects of their community and cultivate leadership skills and tactics to help them throughout their continued professional development.

Members of every leadership class were present at the celebration and able to network with fellow classmates and past program volunteers from over the years. Many attendees spoke and reflected on the impact of their program experience, and opportunities which had arisen from it. They also honored the achievement of individuals who had emerged as influential leaders throughout the community.

“We were thrilled to mark this significant milestone in our journey of fostering leadership excellence,” Greater Vidalia Chamber Executive Vice President Debbie Evans commented. “For 30 years we have been dedicated to nurturing the next generation of leaders who were poised to make a difference in their organizations and our community. This celebration is a testament to the dedication, passion, and commitment of everyone who has been a part of our journey.”

Nominations are now being accepted for the 31st class of Leadership Greater Vidalia on the Chamber’s website. Anyone may nominate another individual in the community for this opportunity. For more information, contact Dana Brown at danab@greatervidaliachamber. com.
