RTCA Wins Over Brentwood

The Robert Toombs Christian Academy Crusaders baseball team faced off with Brentwood last Monday and got their first win of the early season.

Brentwood scored a run in the bottom of the first inning, but RTCA plated four runs in the top of the second inning to jump into the lead, 4-1, including two off a triple by Blake Durden. Tripp Durden and Hayden Kight each drove in one run in the inning.

RTCA added two more runs in the fifth inning off a double by Blake Durden, and three more in the sixth to lead the game, 9-1. Brentwood did manage two more in the bottom of the seventh inning, but RTCA came out on top, 9-3.

This week RTCA hosted Citizens Christian in Tuesday after presstime. They are not scheduled to play again until next Wednesday.
