2nd Suspect Arrested In Lyons Murder

The Lyons Police Department has made the second and last anticipated arrest in the December 2023 murder of a Hazlehurst man.
On Wednesday, January 24, police arrested Tyquan Tyhee Toby, 22, of Lyons, and charged him with possession of a firearm or knife during certain crimes, aggravated assault (two counts), felony murder, malice murder, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon for his suspected role in the killing of Brandon Green, 23, of Hazlehurst. Toby was identified as a suspect in the case by the Lyons Police Department and Georgia Bureau of Investigation.
Green was discovered with a gunshot wound to the neck on 352 East Grady Street in Lyons and was transported to Memorial Health Meadows Hospital in Vidalia where he succumbed to his injuries. Thanks to community involvement, authorities were able to gather information and evidence that helped move the investigation along.

Tuesday, January 2, for his involvement with the murder, and was charged with malice murder, possession of a firearm or knife during certain crimes, two counts of aggravated assault/battery – gun, and felony murder.
Both men are currently being held at the Toombs County Detention Center without bond.
